Pontiac Service and Repair in Malvern, PA

Pontiac, originally known for muscle cars and powerful engines, specialized in performance vehicles until the brand’s production discontinued in 2010. Pontiac produced companion makes of Chevrolet, and the 84-year history of the Pontiac brand is distinguished by high performers such as the GTO—a model so famous for performance that a song was written in its honor.

Did you know:  Pontiac, or formally the Pontiac Motor Division of General Motors, was an American automobile brand owned, manufactured, and commercialized by General Motors. It was originally introduced as a companion make for GM's more expensive line of Oakland automobiles. Pontiac quickly overtook Oakland in popularity and supplanted its parent entirely by 1933, in turn establishing its position as one of GM's dominant divisions. A new compact Tempest was introduced for the 1961 model year. It was one of the three Buick-Olds-Pontiac (BOP) models introduced that year, sharing the platform with the Buick Special, Skylark, and Oldsmobile F-85. A four-cylinder engine was also introduced in the Tempest model line. The Tempest featured a 194.5 cu in (3.2 Liter) inline slant-four cylinder engine, derived from the right bank of Pontiac's 389 V8, enabling it to be run down the same production line and reducing costs. the engine received a crankshaft designed for four cylinders, but this did not completely solve its balance issues. The engine gained the nickname "Hay Baler" because of its tendency to kick violently, like the farm machine.
