PA State Safety and Emissions Inspection in Malvern

The state of Pennsylvania requires vehicles to undergo a State Safety and Emissions Inspection every year. ASM Auto LLC is a licensed state inspection station.

If you own an electric vehicle (EV), your vehicle is outside of the PA emissions program and is only required to pass a safety test.

If you drive less than 5000 miles since your last emissions test within a calendar year, your vehicle is exempt and receives an exempt sticker. This means you can pass a PA state inspection with a check engine light if you are emissions exempt.

If your vehicle has a GVWR of 8500 - 9000 lbs, your vehicle must pass a 2 speed idle test. If it weighs above 9000 lb, it is exempt from emissions testing.
